I am a native Tucsonan, beginning my life's adventures at Tucson Medical Center, but I've also lived in Oklahoma, Mississippi, Colorado and several cities in California before relocating to Oro Valley in 1993.
Since early manhood, Real Estate has been a material part of my life. Starting in high school and during early college Civil Engineering & Architectural studies, I created several custom home designs complete with build ready blueprints. In 1978, I was issued my first California Real Estate Sales License and worked for a local family brokerage. I also went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with double majors in Real Estate and Finance.
In late 1987, along with the "Black Monday" financial market meltdown, interest rate surge and building moratoriums being imposed to slow things down, the local California real estate market I serviced went into a tailspin. Little to nothing was selling so, I took a"temporary day job" as a Business Analyst at Hughes Missile Systems Engineering Division located in Canoga Park, California…you know, just until the real estate market could rebound. The next year, with the recovery still slowly underway, I decided to accept a permanent position with Hughes. In 1993-94, Hughes moved their Engineering Division to co-locate with their Manufacturing operations in Tucson.
I met my beautiful wife at a local Starbucks, and after several hours of stimulating conversation, I knew that I had just met my future. Liz and I became engaged on Anini Beach in Kauai surrounded by very dear friends, and we were wed in a beautiful outdoor setting within Tohono Chul Park. She is a National Board Certified Teacher at Wilson K-8, and is also the loving mother of three wonderful young adults.
After 26 years working my “temporary gig” at Raytheon, I decided to accept early retirement in 2013. I took some time off to explore and re-calibrate my priorities and ultimately decided to go back to the future so to speak and return to Real Estate sales.
Ever since receiving my Arizona license in 2014, I’ve had the good fortune to work with and learn from, some of the most professional and successful REALTORS® and Brokers active in the greater Tucson area. From their mentoring and my own experience, I know that personal relationships and trust are critical to the successful development and sustainment of every real estate agent’s business. Both are still established and nurtured the old school way, which also happens to be my way…requiring follow-through on promises, honesty, open and regular communications, unwavering integrity and strict adherence to ethical actions and business practices.
I find that going back to my real estate roots was the perfect choice for me to make at this stage of my life. Helping others to achieve their residential investment and lifestyle goals is more than just a passion of mine…it also aligns my work with my values and ideals. I get to walk the talk of my lifetime motto: "What we do for ourselves dies with us...what we do for others remains and is immortal."
With all that said, I would be honored to put my passion, integrity and unique combination of Real Estate knowledge, skills and abilities to work on your behalf. Should you, or anybody you know, wish to explore the possibility of making a residential purchase or sale, I invite you to contact me so we can review your options and how I can help get you moving in the right direction.

Hobbies & Interests
Rock'N Realtor - I have a collection of guitars including an American Stratocaster, Spanish nylon string, and a couple of electric acoustics (Dean & Martin) that take me to beautiful, peaceful and often challenging places. I take one of my guitars to each of my Open Houses so I can learn a new song in between visitors to pass the time. In 2007, I founded and co-led the Tucson Musician Club. My goal was to meet, play with and learn from local musicians representing all skill levels from beginner to recording artists. At one point we had 148 members and associates...a much larger venture than I had ever dreamed the club would become. I ultimately passed the torch on to a new leadership team in 2011 so that I could refocus my energy on learning and playing the music as I had originally intended. Through the years of Monthly Meetings, Annual Christmas Shows, Member Showcase Events, Home Show performances, Member Socials and Special Fund Raiser Events, I've met and played with a host of wonderful, giving and very talented musicians from all over the Greater Tucson Area. Many have become close friends and I will always cherish the fun and fulfilling experiences we shared both on and off the stage. Today, several current and former members and the many bands they formed through their association with the Musician Club can be seen performing at local venues, on YouTube and some are recording new music.
Glamping - Over the years, I've gone from packing it all in on my back and humping it well into the wilderness, to, yes, I admit, I am now a full fledged Glamper. I just pack up my Jeep's roof and cargo area with as many gadgets, food, drinks, cooking devices, blowup beds & pillows, tent, EZup, ice chests, etc. and head up the mountain. I pull up to my favorite Mt. Lemmon campground (with clean facilities nearby), unpack it all and within an hour or two, camp is set, fire is burning, steaks are marinating, and my favorite afternoon beverages and snacks are within an arm's reach of my lounge chair. Add the aroma of clean, crisp and cool mountain air and, well...doesn't get much better than that!
Golf - I shoot under 100 about 50% of the time, and, on average, only lose about two sleeves of new balls per round (but I usually find a few higher grade balls to offset my losses). So, you get the idea, I'm not out to beat anybody. Even duffers like me can get lucky once in a blue moon...I can claim both a hole in one and a Raytheon Golf Tournament victory. I get great joy from taking on the many beautiful and challenging courses around the greater Tucson area, especially when I'm enjoying the moments and making new memories with friends and family.
Motorcycles - I've owned several makes and models starting with Honda CT-70, to Sachs 100, Yamaha 175 and YZ250, Honda CR250, Kawasaki KZ750 and most recently, my YamaHog...a Yamaha RoadStar Silverado Special Edition.
Mountain Biking - I also rode a Trek 930 along with a pack of mountain biking friends from 1994 to the early 2000s, exploring every single track, hiking path and rocky jeep trail within a two hour drive of Tucson. I've also explored Durango's wilderness, Brianshead Utah ski/mountain bike park, Moab's slick rock trail as well as miles and miles of surrounding red dirt paradise. In the toughest challenge of my biking career, I also completed the 111 mile El Tour de Tucson on this same bike.
